Med Ninjas is seeking a Neurology Physician for long term locum tenens coverage at an inpatient/outpatient facility located in Petoskey, Michigan

The Physician must be available for the complete coverage block from November 1, 2026

This assignment includes outpatient clinic, onsite hospital coverage, EEG reads and neurological procedures, and 24-hour weekend call.

Position Details:
Patient Population: 6–8 patients per day
Setting: Inpatient/Outpatient
Responsibilities: Outpatient clinic coverage, onsite hospital coverage, inpatient and after-hours call, EEG reads for inpatient and outpatient cases as needed
Required Procedures: Radiologic Exam Interpretation, Lumbar Puncture (Spinal Tap), EEG, Brain Death Examination, Evoked Potentials
EMR System: Cerner
On-Call/Weekends: Inpatient call and after-hours call; 24-hour weekend call

Requirements

• Board Certified in Neurology – REQUIRED (BE not accepted)
• Active Michigan license – REQUIRED at time of name clear
• Provider must be local – No flights – REQUIRED
• Active DEA confirmation – REQUIRED
• BLS and ACLS certifications (NIH Stroke Scale/tPA competency PREFERRED)
• Clean Malpractice details – include carrier, coverage limits, and confirm if malpractice is included in the rate
• Self-Query NPDB pulled within the month
