WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a qualified Neurologist to join a physician-owned and managed practice in New York City. This role offers the opportunity to cover multiple clinical locations on an outpatient-only basis, providing crucial assessments for patients in the disability and workers compensation programs. With no on-call responsibilities and flexible scheduling options, this position is ideal for those looking to balance a rewarding career with personal commitments.
Responsibilities
- Cover multiple clinical locations across the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens, and Long Island.
- Conduct primary care, general health, neurological, and mental health assessments.
- Determine patients' ability to work and assess mental health status and well-being.
- Address conditions such as depression and anxiety.
- Perform EMGs; ability to conduct EEGs is a plus.
- Diagnose medical conditions and manage chronic health issues.
- Refer out most Medicaid long-term care cases.
- Work alongside a specialist focusing on headache and head trauma cases.
Requirements
- DOT and Workers compensation experience preferred.
- Workers Comp number preferred, willingness to obtain required.
- NYS License, CSR, DEA preferred, but not required.
- Ability to conduct EMGs required; EEGs preferred.
- Residency training in Neurology required.
