Join a growing Neurosciences Institute in South Florida and help build out a comprehensive, patient-centered neuromuscular program. This is an excellent fit for a fellowship-trained neuromuscular neurologist who wants to combine strong clinical autonomy with the resources of a multidisciplinary team — plus room to shape program growth, research, and community outreach.
Position Highlights
Diagnose and manage a full spectrum of neuromuscular disorders — ALS and other motor neuron diseases, myasthenia gravis, muscular dystrophies, peripheral neuropathies, myopathies, and hereditary neuromuscular conditions.
Perform and interpret EMG and nerve conduction studies (NCS).
Build individualized treatment plans and manage infusion/immunotherapy care as indicated.
Partner closely with PM&R, physical/occupational therapy, pulmonology, neurosurgery, rheumatology, and primary care.
Take part in multidisciplinary neuromuscular clinics, program development, and clinical research.
Educate patients and families on diagnosis, treatment, and disease progression.
Maintain timely, accurate EMR documentation.
Clinical Responsibilities
Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with neuromuscular disorders including:
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) and other Motor Neuron Disorders
Myasthenia Gravis and other Neuromuscular Junction Disorders
Muscular Dystrophies
Peripheral Neuropathies and Neuronopathies
Myopathies
Hereditary Neuromuscular Disorders
Conduct comprehensive neurological evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
Interpret and perform electromyography (EMG) and nerve conduction studies (NCS).
Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams including physical medicine and rehabilitation, physical therapy, occupational therapy, pulmonology, neurosurgery, rheumatology, and primary care providers.
Manage infusion and immunotherapy treatments as clinically indicated.
Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, disease progression, and available supportive resources.
Participate in multidisciplinary neuromuscular clinics when applicable.
Maintain complete, accurate, and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Collaborate with clinical leadership to ensure access, quality, patient safety, and regulatory compliance.
Participate in program development, clinical research initiatives, and community outreach activities as appropriate.
Participate in call coverage as assigned.
Candidate Qualifications
MD or DO from an accredited institution
Completed ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency
Completed accredited Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship
Board Certified in Neurology (ABPN)
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neuromuscular Medicine
Active/unrestricted FL medical license (or license-eligible)
Current DEA registration and BLS certification
Eligible for medical staff membership and hospital privileges
1-3+ years of clinical experience in Neuromuscular Medicine
Strong EMG/NCS skill set
Experience running or supporting multidisciplinary neuromuscular programs
Background in clinical research, teaching, or academic medicine
