Outpatient Neurologist Locum Opportunity – New Jersey

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist for an ongoing outpatient locum opportunity across multiple established neurology practices in southern New Jersey. Coverage is needed as soon as credentialed and is ongoing. This is a 100% outpatient position with no call, nights, weekends, holidays, or inpatient responsibilities.

Assignment Details

• Start: ASAP/as soon as credentialed
• Full-time availability preferred
• Minimum commitment of 3 consistent weekdays per week
• Coverage across multiple locations
• Provider assigned to one location per day

Schedule

• Monday–Friday
• Approximately 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Minimum 3 days per week
• No call
• No holiday coverage
• No inpatient coverage

Practice Setting

• 100% outpatient General Neurology
• Adult and geriatric patients
• Approximately 60% adult / 40% geriatric
• Established neuroscience program and referral network
• Cerner/Oracle Fusion EMR
• Interdisciplinary clinical team

Patient Volume

• Approximately 14–18 patients per day
• Approximately 3–5 new patients
• Approximately 10–13 follow-up patients

Clinical Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage new and established General Neurology patients
• Headache and migraine management
• Seizure disorders
• Neuropathy
• Movement disorders
• Multiple sclerosis
• Cognitive disorders
• Post-stroke follow-up
• Review imaging, laboratory results, and outside medical records
• Order appropriate diagnostic testing
• Medication management
• Coordinate care with primary care physicians, APPs, specialists, and the neuroscience team
• Complete documentation, patient messages, test-result review, and follow-up responsibilities
• Provide independent outpatient Neurology coverage

Requirements

• Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Neurology
• ABPN or AOBNP eligibility/certification required
• Active New Jersey medical license or willingness to obtain
• Active DEA and New Jersey CDS required before start
• BLS required
• Ability to consistently provide at least 3 days of coverage per week
• Must be willing to rotate among the three outpatient locations
• Cerner or comparable EMR experience preferred

Credentialing

• Approximately 90–120 days after receipt of a complete application
• No temporary privileges
• Active New Jersey license, DEA, and New Jersey CDS required for completion of credentialing

An experienced General Neurologist seeking consistent weekday outpatient work with no call or inpatient responsibilities. This opportunity is especially well suited for a physician who can commit to at least three days per week and is comfortable rotating between established outpatient practices throughout southern New Jersey.
