Job description
An excellent Locum Neurologist (MD/DO) opportunity in Longview, Washington. This assignment offers a flexible schedule with both outpatient clinic responsibilities and inpatient call coverage while working alongside an experienced neurology team.
Job Responsibilities
Provide inpatient consultations, admissions, and daily rounding.
Deliver outpatient neurological care in the clinic.
Perform and interpret EEG and EMG procedures.
Participate in unrestricted night call with low after-hours call volume (typically 0–4 calls/texts per 24-hour period).
Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation using Epic EMR.
Qualifications
Active Washington Medical License (IMLC candidates will also be considered).
BLS & ACLS Certifications.
Experience performing EEG and EMG procedures.
Documentation of approximately 100 neurology cases within the last 24 months.
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred.
Working Hours
Start Date: ASAP (Credentialing Required)
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Coverage: Approximately 1 week per month
Call: Unrestricted night call (24-hour call alongside clinic coverage)
Setting: Inpatient & Outpatient
Average Patients: 16 per day
EMR: Epic
Skills
Expertise in EEG and EMG interpretation and procedures.
Excellent diagnostic and patient assessment skills.
Ability to manage both inpatient and outpatient neurological cases.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Efficient documentation using Epic EMR.
Ability to work independently while functioning effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
