Neurohospitalist Locum Tenens - Idaho - $270-$280 per Hour

Aya Locums is assisting an established hospital-based neurology program in Idaho with Neurohospitalist coverage across several seven-day blocks beginning in September 2026.

This is a 100% inpatient assignment involving general neurology and acute stroke care for adult and geriatric patients. The weekday schedule is 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m., with approximately 4-17 patients per day and 12 paid hours guaranteed for each scheduled coverage day.

Weekend coverage includes daytime rounding followed by overnight call for inpatient concerns and unclaimed emergency department consultations. Overnight stroke alerts are handled by a separate telestroke service. Callback volume is generally low, and overnight call, callbacks and overtime are paid at 1.5 times the regular hourly rate.

Available coverage blocks are September 2-8, October 14-20, November 11-17 and December 9-15, 2026, followed by January 6-12 and February 3-9, 2027. Physicians may cover individual blocks or multiple blocks based on availability.

The physician will provide general inpatient neurology care, respond to daytime stroke activations and make thrombolytic treatment decisions when clinically appropriate. No vascular neurology or neurocritical care fellowship is required. EMG, EEG, Botox injections and other specialized procedures are not required but are a bonus.

Board-certified or board-eligible neurologists with at least two years of relevant experience will be considered. Epic experience is preferred. An active Idaho license is welcomed, but Aya Locums can assist IMLC-qualified physicians with obtaining an Idaho license and required state credentials.

Aya Locums will cover airfare, lodging and rental transportation or mileage.
