Client is a specialized provider of intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring (IONM) services dedicated to supporting surgeons and hospitals in delivering safer, higher-quality patient care. The Surgical Neurophysiologist provides real-time intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring during surgical procedures, including spine and other complex cases. This role works directly with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and operating room teams to support clinical decision-making and help preserve neural function throughout procedures.

Job Responsibilities
Provide continuous intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring during surgical procedures.
Set up, calibrate, operate, and troubleshoot IONM equipment to ensure accurate data acquisition.
Acquire, analyze, and interpret EEG and other neurophysiologic signals in real time.
Monitor changes in neural function and communicate clinically significant findings promptly to surgeons and anesthesia teams.
Document monitoring results, events, and communications accurately according to clinical and hospital requirements.
Maintain equipment readiness, functionality, and safety standards before, during, and after procedures.
Follow hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and established IONM protocols.
Collaborate effectively with surgical teams, anesthesia providers, and operating room personnel.
Recognize and troubleshoot artifacts or technical issues affecting monitoring accuracy.
Participate in continuing education, quality improvement initiatives, and professional development activities.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of neurophysiology principles and their clinical application in surgical monitoring.
Experience with intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring techniques and real-time data interpretation.
Clinical experience supporting spine surgery and understanding of related neuroanatomy.
Experience working in operating room environments with knowledge of sterile practices and OR workflows.
Hands-on experience with EEG acquisition, analysis, artifact recognition, and troubleshooting.
Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear and timely information to surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and OR staff.
Ability to work independently while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in high-pressure situations.
Education & Certification:
Degree in a related field such as Neurophysiology, Neuroscience, Biomedical Engineering, or a related discipline.
CNIM certification or eligibility preferred.
Working Hours
Full-time, on-site position based in Denver, CO.
Ability to work flexible hours based on surgical schedules.
Ability to stand for extended periods during procedures.
Ability to manage multiple surgical cases while maintaining focus on patient safety and quality of care.
