Job description
We are seeking a Neurologist for a community practice in the beautiful Hudson Valley area. The practice is affiliated with a local hospital, with work split between Newburgh and Cornwall locations (2 days vs 3 days, never two sites in the same day). The position is based in a brand new office location, with referrals coming from existing primary care physicians.
This is a 100% outpatient ambulatory practice model with limited hospital consultations. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 8am-6pm, with no weekend hours required. The medical group offers primary care, wellness, occupational health, and some specialty care, supported by a strong referral network and patient-centered medical home within the affiliate hospital and larger ACO network.
The role is an employed position offering a competitive compensation plan and benefits, including health, dental, vision, disability insurance, a retirement plan, expenses for license/dues/CME, a generous PTO plan, and paid medical malpractice including tail coverage.
Requirements
- Active or applied NY State license, DEA, CSR preferred
- Residency training in Neurology
- New graduates completing training in the next 12 months are encouraged to apply
Opportunity Highlights: Join a strong community hospital system under the umbrella of a major academic player in the NYC metro area, providing funding and name recognition. The outpatient practice offers the feel of a private group with the benefits of hospital support. This is a great area to raise a family, and anyone interested in working in the suburbs of NY is encouraged to interview with the group. As the first specialist in this group, flexibility is needed for "growing pains" and program building, but expect to get busy quickly.
Disclosure: The hourly rates and/or salaries listed may or may not reflect total compensation packages including bonus and fringe benefits, etc., nor are the advertisement(s) posted a guarantee of a certain compensation package for a position or bona fide offer of employment. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.
