Neurology - Hospitalist position in: Rapid City, SD

Neurohospitalist in Rapid City, South Dakota Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurologist • Full-time, hospital-employed position focused exclusively on inpatient neurology consultation services. • Practice within a collegial and collaborative environment with a strong emphasis on physician wellness and work-life balance. • Work approximately 182 shifts annually. • Schedule includes 10 hours of on-site coverage with 14 hours of call coverage per shift. • Practice in a 417-bed regional tertiary referral hospital and Level II Trauma Center serving a large multi-state referral area. • Join an experienced inpatient neurology team where two Neurohospitalists are typically on service at a time, sharing stroke and night call responsibilities. • Consulting service only; patients are admitted and managed by hospitalist and intensivist teams. • Supported by comprehensive 24/7 Neurointerventional and Neurosurgical services. • EEG interpretations are provided by dedicated Epileptologists, with results typically available within 24 hours. • Opportunity to focus on high-quality neurological care without the responsibilities of outpatient practice management. • Additional vascular neurology or subspecialty fellowship training is welcomed and may qualify for additional compensation. Candidate Qualifications • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology. • Additional fellowship training in Vascular Neurology or another neurology subspecialty is preferred but not required. • Strong clinical skills and commitment to evidence-based patient care. • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. • Interest in practicing inpatient neurology within a collaborative hospital setting.
