Job description

One of the premier healthcare organizations in North Carolina is seeking a Neurologist to join a well-established, high-demand Neurology program — a role opening up because of tremendous, sustained growth, not attrition. You'll walk into a well-established patient panel with an outstanding community reputation, seeing approximately 20 patients per day in a beautiful, modern clinic near the hospital, with no inpatient responsibilities and, remarkably, no call at all. The clinical mix is genuinely diverse — stroke, epilepsy, headache, and general neurology — with real room to develop a subspecialty interest as your practice grows, all supported by a collaborative team of 4 physicians and strong APP support. Add EPIC EMR, modern technology at every location, and the backing of a 950-bed, non-profit Level 3 trauma regional medical center with nearly 70 years of community trust, and you have a rare outpatient neurology opportunity that protects your time without sacrificing clinical variety or earning potential. J1 visa candidates are welcome, and total compensation can reach $430K+.

THE PRACTICE

  • Growth-driven opening, not a replacement — the program is expanding due to tremendous, sustained growth and referral demand, not filling a vacancy left behind.
  • Established, high-demand patient panel — walk into a well-known, well-respected neurology program with an outstanding community reputation.
  • Outpatient only — see approximately 20 patients per day in clinic with no inpatient responsibilities to manage.
  • No call — a genuinely rare outpatient neurology role with no call obligations at all.
  • Diverse clinical volume — practice across stroke, epilepsy, headache, and general neurology, keeping your caseload varied and engaging.
  • Room to subspecialize — real opportunity to develop a subspecialty interest and shape your practice as it grows.
  • Strong team-based support — work alongside 4 neurology physicians and strong APP support in a collaborative, well-established program.
  • Modern clinic and hospital facilities — practice in a new, state-of-the-art clinic near the hospital, both equipped with the latest technology.
  • Modern EMR — the practice runs on EPIC for streamlined, efficient documentation.
  • Excellent, negotiable compensation — base salary plus uncapped wRVU production for $400K-$430K+ total compensation.
  • Strong start-up support — $40,000 sign-on bonus plus $10,000 relocation assistance, both negotiable.
  • Comprehensive benefits package — full health, vision, and dental coverage, 401K, PTO, CME assistance, and malpractice/tail coverage included.
  • Loan forgiveness eligible — PSLF-eligible for federal loan relief as a non-profit regional health system employee.
  • Open to J1 visa candidates — the program welcomes international medical graduates on a J1 visa.
  • Backed by a 70-year regional powerhouse — join 1,800+ providers across 8 hospitals in a long-standing system with an outstanding community reputation and very strong demand.

The Community | Southeastern North Carolina

  • Big-city amenities, small-town cost — 400,000+ metro residents with a low cost of living — well under Charlotte and roughly 33% below Atlanta.
  • Unmatched weekend access — 1.5 hours to the beach, 2 hours to the mountains, 2.5 hours to Charlotte, and just 45 min to Raleigh.
  • Outdoor recreation at every turn — hiking, camping, kayaking, boating, golf, and scenic lakes and rivers throughout the region.
  • Top-tier education options — STEAM academies, respected Christian and public schools, plus a nearby state university and local community colleges.
  • Rich cultural scene — vineyards, art walks, breweries, and botanical gardens throughout the area.
  • Vibrant dining — a food scene where Southern comfort meets global culinary flavors.
  • Family-friendly attractions — a children's museum, live theater, and a local symphony give every member of the family something to love.
