Job description
We are seeking a Neurologist or Physician with a strong background in neurology or neuro-related clinical medicine to lead neurology-focused clinical research studies at our Cincinnati location. This position offers flexibility — full-time or part-time — and a chance to advance innovative treatments in neurological disorders and brain health.
Overview
The Principal Investigator (PI) is responsible for the overall conduct and oversight of neurological clinical trials. The PI ensures that all research activities are performed safely, ethically, and in adherence to regulatory requirements. This role serves as the lead medical authority, providing clinical direction to research staff and acting as the primary point of contact for study sponsors and regulatory entities.
Job Responsibilities
• Personally conduct or directly supervise all study-related procedures.
• Verify that delegated staff are appropriately trained and qualified for their tasks.
• Maintain compliance with FDA, GCP, and IRB requirements and ensure proper research documentation.
• Review and interpret neurological assessments, imaging, lab evaluations, and adverse events.
• Oversee subject enrollment and recruitment in coordination with the clinical team.
• Liaise with study monitors and sponsors to support study progress and data integrity.
• Supervise and mentor Sub-Investigators, coordinators, and study staff.
• Provide occasional weekend or after-hours coverage when required by study protocol.
Qualifications
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in neurology
• Minimum 2+ years of recent, patient-facing clinical experience
• Comfortable working onsite in a collaborative clinical research environment
