About the Position
* Establish and expand neurology services within a rural healthcare setting
* Provide primarily outpatient care with flexible clinic scheduling
* Evaluate and manage a wide range of neurological conditions, including headaches, stroke follow-up, neuropathy, seizure disorders, movement disorders, and cognitive conditions
* Perform EMG services
* Provide limited inpatient consults as needed
* Build long-term patient relationships while improving access to specialty care
* Practice Environment
* Practice within a 71-bed rural hospital with an established referral network
* Emergency department averaging approximately 30 patients per day
* Significant community need with limited local neurology access
* Opportunity for autonomy and leadership in program development
* Supportive, collaborative medical staff and administrative leadership
* Clinical Support & Resources
* Access to advanced imaging services
* Collaboration with primary care providers and hospitalist teams
* On-call specialty support available (not continuous)
* Established transfer relationships for higher-acuity neurological cases
* Administrative support for service line growth
* Qualifications
* MD or DO eligible for Missouri medical licensure
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
* Eligible for hospital medical staff privileges
* Interest in rural medicine and program development preferred
