Job description
We are seeking a Neurologist to provide outpatient locum coverage for a well established neurology clinic. This opportunity offers a predictable weekday schedule and the ability to support a busy outpatient neurology practice treating a broad range of neurological conditions.
The facility is looking for physicians who can provide two weeks per month up to full time coverage and who are comfortable working in an outpatient clinic environment with established workflows.
The physician will provide outpatient neurology care in a clinic setting seeing both new and follow up patients. Providers must be comfortable working within Epic EMR, managing referrals, and maintaining efficient clinic flow. New patient visits are scheduled for 40 minutes, while follow up visits are 20 minutes once established within clinic processes.
Providers are required to interpret EEG studies as part of the clinical workflow. The clinic is supported by nursing staff and medical assistants and treats a wide range of neurological conditions including multiple sclerosis
Job Responsibilities
• Provide outpatient neurology evaluations and ongoing patient management
• Interpret EEG studies as part of patient diagnosis and treatment planning
• Manage new patient consultations and follow up neurology visits
• Collaborate with clinic staff and referral providers
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient care plans within Epic EMR
Qualifications
• Active Washington license or IMLC eligibility
• Experience using Epic EMR preferred
• Ability to interpret EEG studies required
• Experience managing neurological conditions including multiple sclerosis preferred
• Certification in the TOUCH Prescribing Program for Tysabri preferred
Working Hours
Coverage needed starting May or June once credentialed
Minimum two weeks per month, up to full time coverage
Overtime available after 40 hours per week
