Facility in Rockford, IL seeking Interventional Neurology locums coverage

Rates: $Hourly: $350 per hour

Night Call: $400 per shift

24-hour Call: $3500/24 hours with 2 hour gratis

Call Back: $400 per hour after 2 hour gratis

Opportunity Highlights

• Start Date: June 1, 2026.

• Schedule: Minimum of 7 consecutive shifts required (21 shifts/month preferred).

  • Clinical: 3 days per week (12-hour clinic days with night call).

  • Weekends: Call coverage only (no clinic).

• Support: Strong collaboration with Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) who supplement coverage for procedural volume and rounding.

• EMR: EPIC.

Clinical Responsibilities

As a key member of the neurointerventional team, you will perform minimally invasive procedures to treat complex vascular conditions of the brain and spine.

Procedural Scope:

• Acute Ischemic Stroke: Mechanical thrombectomy and revascularization.

• Aneurysm Management: Endovascular coiling and flow diversion.

• Vascular Malformations: Embolization of AVMs and dural arteriovenous fistulas.

• General Procedures: Diagnostic cerebral angiography, stenting, and angioplasty.

Inpatient & Clinic Duties:

• • Manage an inpatient census of approximately 15 patients (consults, admissions, and ER cases).

  • Serve as the primary contact for CareHub transfer calls.

  • Collaborate with Neuro/Trauma ICU teams, Hospitalists, and Neurosurgery.

• Sign APP collaboration agreements and provide oversight as the collaborating physician.

Provider Requirements

• Board Status: Board Certified in Neurology with Interventional subspecialty training (Required).

• Licensure: Active Illinois (IL) Medical License and IL CSR (Required). Note: IMLC is not accepted.

• Experience: Minimum 1 year post-fellowship.

• Certifications: Active ACLS and BLS (Required).

• Background: Must have a clean background for expedited (60-day) privileging.
