Seeking a Locum Neuro Hospitalist for inpatient and telestroke coverage
• Primary Stroke Center with full stroke team support
• Combination of day inpatient coverage and overnight telestroke call
• EMR: Epic
Job Responsibilities
• Manage acute stroke patients, including telestroke consultations
• Participate in day coverage (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
• Provide nightly call coverage (6:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
• Collaborate with ICU, trauma, rehab, and stroke teams
• Participate in rotating weekend coverage
Qualifications
• Active Colorado medical license – HIGHLY PREFERRED
– Active IMLC with LOQ will be considered
• Stroke Telemedicine (Telestroke) experience – REQUIRED (must be noted at name clear)
• Day and night availability – REQUIRED (must be noted at name clear)
• Clean malpractice and background – REQUIRED
• BLS certification – REQUIRED (must be obtained before start)
• COVID vaccination – REQUIRED (note at name clear)
Working Hours
– Day: Inpatient & telestroke (6a–6p)
– Night: Telestroke call (6p–6a)
• Shifts per Month:
– 5–10 shifts minimum
– Up to 12–15 shifts per month ASAP
• Weekend Coverage: Yes (rotating among 4 physicians)
