Our client, a well-established neurology practice located on the North Fork of Long Island, is hiring a Neurologist to join their dedicated team full-time. As a Neurologist, you will provide comprehensive neurological services, diagnosing and managing a wide range of neurological conditions including stroke, dementia, neuromuscular disorders, and more. You will work alongside experienced colleagues, utilize advanced diagnostic tools, and have the opportunity to develop specialized procedural skills through on-the-job training. The role emphasizes quality care, patient education, and adherence to evidence-based practices, with minimal on-call responsibilities and a focus on work-life balance.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver thorough neurological evaluations, including medical histories and examinations
- Diagnose and treat neurological conditions, ordering appropriate tests
- Perform NCV/EMG testing as needed
- Develop personalized care plans and conduct patient education
- Prescribe medications and manage therapeutic regimens
- Maintain accurate documentation in EMR
- Participate in multidisciplinary team efforts and supervise clinical staff
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and ensure regulatory compliance
- Collaborate in a patient-centered, team-oriented environment
- Support practice growth through building and maintaining a robust patient panel
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with no on-call requirement
Requirements:
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology
- Active New York State medical license (or ability to obtain)
- Postgraduate experience in an outpatient neurology setting
- Strong communication and clinical skills
