Locum Tenens – Interventional Neurologist
Location: Illinois
License Requirement: Active Illinois Medical License required (IMLC not accepted)

IL Hospital is seeking an Interventional Neurologist to support its Comprehensive Stroke Program. The ideal candidate will provide a blend of neurointerventional procedures and general neurology coverage, working collaboratively with hospitalists, neurosurgery, and APPs.

Key Responsibilities

Perform neurointerventional and endovascular procedures consistent with a comprehensive stroke program

Provide general neurology coverage as needed

Manage an inpatient census of approximately 15 patients, including consults, admissions, and ER cases

Serve as primary call contact for CareHub neurology and neurointerventional transfer calls

Collaborate closely with adult hospitalists, neurosurgery, and regional referral facilities

Act as collaborating physician for APPs and sign collaboration agreements

Work with APPs who supplement coverage based on procedural volume and census
Schedule
-
24-hour shifts
-
3 clinic days per week
-
12-hour clinic days with night call

Weekends: Call coverage only (no clinic)

Must be available for a minimum of 7 consecutive shifts (more preferred)

21 open shifts per month
