Job description
Seeking two (2) full-time Locum Tenens Neurohospitalists to provide inpatient consult coverage and call. For continuity of care, we strongly prefer candidates who can commit to at least one full week per month during the assignment period.
Assignment Dates

August 2026 – December 2026
Job Responsibilities
Inpatient consult service
Comprehensive Stroke Center
Emergency Department & Level II Trauma Center
Neuro-ICU has separate coverage
Average consult volume for two neurologists: 30–40 patients/day
Responsibilities
Inpatient neurology consults
EEG interpretation
Lumbar punctures
Stroke call coverage
Technology & Support:
EMR: Epic
Dictation: Dragon
EEG: Natus Xltek EEG system + new bedside rapid EEG
Support Services: Interventional Radiology & Diagnostic Radiology available
No APP support, but strong and experienced nursing staff
Qualifications
MD or DO
Board Certified in Neurology
Active Oklahoma medical license
Active DEA
OBNDD with Oklahoma address
Must be comfortable:
Reading EEGs
Performing lumbar punctures
Working Hours
7 on / 7 off
Tuesday 7:00 AM – Tuesday 7:00 AM (must be able to work this exact schedule)
Two neurologists cover each 24-hour shift:
One neurologist takes primary call for new patients (rotates daily and is listed with ED/operators)
The second neurologist manages follow-up care for established patients
