A leading healthcare facility in Western Illinois near Mount Sterling is seeking a Neurology Physician for a long-term locum assignment beginning March 2, 2026. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of clinic, inpatient consults, and call coverage at a stroke-certified center.
Position Overview

Daily Rate Structure: Includes 4 hours of clinic + call coverage

Preferred Coverage: 7-day blocks (Monday 7:00 AM → Monday 7:00 AM)

Clinic Details:

4 hours daily (8:00 AM–12:00 PM)

7–10 patients per day
-
40-minute new visits / 20-minute established visits

Hospital Duties:
-
Afternoon inpatient rounding
-
3–4 neurology consults per day
-
Stroke-certified center utilizing Teleneurology for all stroke cases
-
Neurology consults placed for patients admitted through the hospitalist program
-
Call Expectations
-
Overnight call: 1–2 calls per night

In-person presentation rarely required
Requirements
-
Active Illinois MD/DO License
-
Ability to cover 7-day blocks strongly preferred

Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology
