This facility is part of a well-established healthcare system that offers comprehensive pulmonary and sleep medicine services. The practice includes a dedicated sleep medicine department with hospital-affiliated sleep study facilities and a team of experienced specialists focused on providing high-quality patient care.
Opportunity:
Physician - Sleep Medicine
Job Details:
• Position offers locum to perm coverage in Sleep Medicine • Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm • No call responsibilities required • Patient population: 100% adult (no pediatric cases) • Average of 12-16 patients per day • Work alongside 2 other sleep medicine physicians and 6 advanced practice providers • Support staff includes 2 polysomnography technicians and 4 medical assistants • Sleep studies are performed in a hospital outpatient department • Responsibilities include interpreting sleep studies and patient follow-up • Electronic medical records system: Epic • Treat various sleep disorders: Central Sleep Apnea, Obstructive Sleep Apnea, Insomnia, REM Sleep Behavior Disorder, Narcolepsy, Circadian Sleep Disorders, Hypersomnia, and Snoring • Remote reading of sleep studies is possible • Must be Board Eligible in Sleep Medicine • Active South Carolina license required • BLS certification required • Contract duration: February 2, 2026 - May 2, 2026 • Estimated credentialing timeframe: 90-120 days • Travel accommodations provided (flight and hotel)
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
