The Department of Neurology at the University of South Florida (USF) Morsani College of Medicine is seeking a dedicated and academically-oriented Headache Neurologist to join our growing faculty team. This position offers a dynamic blend of clinical care, teaching, and academic engagement within a nationally recognized medical school and vibrant healthcare system.

Position Overview

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive care for patients with headache and facial pain disorders in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This role includes opportunities to teach medical students and residents, participate in clinical trials, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a department known for its innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver expert clinical care in headache medicine, including diagnosis, treatment, and long-term management.
  • Participate in inpatient consults and outpatient clinics.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Engage in health counseling and preventative medicine initiatives.
  • Teach and mentor medical students and neurology residents.
  • Contribute to departmental service and academic activities.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • M.D. or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Board certified or board eligible in Neurology.
  • Licensed or eligible for medical licensure in the State of Florida.
  • Completion of a residency program in Neurology (may substitute for required experience).
  • Meets university criteria for appointment to the rank of Assistant Professor.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Fellowship training in Headache Medicine.
  • Experience in academic medicine and clinical research.
  • Strong commitment to teaching and interdisciplinary collaboration.
