Neurology Locum – Portsmouth, VA
Bon Secours Maryview Medical Center is seeking a BC Neurologist for locum coverage starting ASAP. Mix of inpatient/outpatient (50/50), light volumes (~8/day, 3 inpatient), and call coverage. Multiple week-long blocks open in Fall 2025. VA license/DEA required.

Job Details:

Start: ASAP
-
Schedule: 8am–5pm; Call 5pm–8am; Weekend Call 8am–8am

Setting: Clinic & Hospital (50% Outpatient / 50% Inpatient)

Call Ratio: 15%
-
Patient Volumes: ~8 patients/day, ~3 hospital-based patients/day

Team: 2 Physicians, 1 APP, supported by 2 LPNs & 1 MA
-
Onsite Services: Lab & X-ray
-
EMR: Epic/Connect Care
-
Required Procedures: EEG, EMG, Brain Death Exam, Radiologic Exam Interpretation (unofficial)
Requirements:

Board Certification – Required
-
Active Virginia License & DEA – Required (at time of submission, no exceptions)

BLS – Required- IPL can help with this!
