Start Date: ASAP
Location: New York
Setting: Inpatient (blended inpatient/outpatient preferred)
Schedule:

5 days/week, M–F clinical work
-
1:4 weekend rotation
-
2 overnight calls/week from home (phone only, rarely required on site)
Practice Details:
-
Level I Adult Trauma, Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
-
Stroke Center with thrombectomy capability
-
EMR: Meditech (legacy version)
-
20–25 new consults/week; 3–4/day
-
Average daily census: ~15 patients
-
Stroke codes: 1–2/day (~30/month)
-
Stroke Unit located in CCU (mixed stroke and cardiac patients)
-
No Neuro ICU
-
No procedures required
-
No general medicine admissions
Team & Support:
-
Currently ~1.5 FTE neurologists on site (private practice coverage model)
-
APP support planned (2 hires for cross-trained inpatient/outpatient coverage)

Hospital actively recruiting to build a full employed neurology division
-
Teaching opportunities with residents (academic environment)
Ideal Candidate:
-
Board Certified Neurologist
-
Experience managing acutely ill inpatient neurology patients
-
Comfortable in a developing service line environment
-
Interested in shaping and building the department
-
Movement disorder, seizure, or headache clinic skills a plus
Additional Notes:

Flexible arrangement: will consider inpatient-only or combined inpatient/outpatient

Potential tele-neurology integration planned
