Neurologist Opening in Gadsden, AL
Location:
Gadsden, AL
Full-time, Monday Friday outpatient clinic with hospital rounding as needed. Call limited to no more than 10 days per month.
Position Overview:
* Diagnose and manage neurological conditions such as stroke, epilepsy, Parkinson s disease, multiple sclerosis, and neuropathies
* Conduct neurological examinations and interpret EEG, EMG, MRI, and CT studies
* Provide comprehensive care through outpatient consultations and hospital rounding
* Collaborate with hospitalists, intensivists, and other specialists on inpatient management
* Participate in stroke team evaluations (if applicable)
* Educate patients and families regarding conditions and treatment plans
* Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR system
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continued medical education
* Opportunity to teach medical students or residents depending on practice structure
Qualifications:
* MD or DO from an accredited institution
* Board certified or eligible in Neurology
* Valid, unrestricted state medical license
* DEA license and credentialing required
* Excellent clinical, diagnostic, and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
* Fellowship training in stroke, epilepsy, neuromuscular, or neurocritical care (optional)
* EMR proficiency, ideally with Epic
* Experience with inpatient consults and call rotation
