## Academic Neurohospitalist | Dayton, OH Southwest Ohio — Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine Partnership ## Position Details * Full-time, permanent employed position * Schedule: Flexible — 7 on/7 off or 182 shifts annually; no telestroke coverage required * Autonomy: Faculty position — academic teaching and research contributions with APP support throughout; part of a leading neurological care and research facility in Southwest Ohio * Setting: Inpatient — comprehensive, multidisciplinary neuroscience program across 5 hospital campuses * H-1B visa sponsorship available ## Practice Overview Seeking an academic-minded BC/BE Neurohospitalist with a passion for teaching to join a comprehensive, multidisciplinary neuroscience program at the intersection of clinical care and academic medicine: * Part of both one of the largest health systems in Southwest Ohio and Wright State University's Boonshoft School of Medicine * Educate and train neurology students, residents, and fellows while providing care to a diverse patient population * Contribute to improving patient outcomes, advancing clinical innovation, and shaping the next generation of healthcare professionals * Leading neurological care and research facility in Southwest Ohio — diagnoses and treatments for conditions of the nervous system, brain, and spine * Telestroke coverage not required of this position * APP support throughout * Neurocritical care, prior neurohospitalist, vascular/stroke trained, or epilepsy trained candidates all considered * First health system in Dayton and only the second in Ohio to achieve system Magnet Recognition * One of only 20 U.S. health care systems to hold this prestigious four-year designation ## Compensation & Benefits * Competitive compensation package * Full benefits — details provided upon inquiry ## Required Qualifications * MD or DO — Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology * Neurocritical care, neurohospitalist, vascular/stroke, or epilepsy training or experience — required * Academic interest and passion for teaching — required * Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain * H-1B visa candidates accepted ## About the Community – Dayton, Ohio * Wonderful mix of lifestyle options in some of the country's most affordable communities * 37 area high schools recognized as "Best in the Nation" * Inclusive and inviting university town with big-city amenities * Thriving arts scene and growing gourmet food scene * World-class recreational parks and one of the largest networks of paved cycling and recreational trails * Host city of the First Four games of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament every year * Three major airports nearby — Dayton International, Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International, and John Glenn Columbus International * Country clubs and YMCAs throughout Southwest Ohio
