This Neurology Locum Tenens position is located in Evansville, IN


Location: Evansville, IN
Duration: Indefinite, Currently seeking potential immediate coverage and/or support for holidays. One (1) part-time
Reason for coverage: Need neuro hospitalist coverage as a Joint Commission Accredited Primary Stroke Center and as an essential specialty in our Thrombectomy Program
Schedule: Coverage is needed Monday - Thursday 1 p.m. to 8 a.m. and 24-hour coverage Friday through Sunday. We'd need this coverage for 1-2 weeks/month.
Shift: Monday-Thursday 1 p.m. to 8 a.m. and 24-hour coverage Friday through Sunday, 1-2 weeks/month; occasional weeks where coverage is 24 hours for 7 days; potential PRN coverage (e.g. holiday support)
Call: Yes
Patient volume: We have a historical average of about 4-6 consults/day, which is steadily increasing following our thrombectomy launch, and we run an average census of 10-12 on service.
Scope: Neurology consults as an embedded part of the inpatient adult hospitalist team; prefer including EEG reads.
EMR: Altera Sunrise Clinical Manager (SCM)
Hospital: 390 Bed, Level II trauma facility

Group/support: ASVE Priority Care Inpatient Services hospitalist team. Neurologist is embedded within the hospitalist team and consulting only. Managerial support provided.
Requirements (boards, license): Board certification and active Indiana license

Job Responsibilities
