Opportunity Overview:

UC Davis in Sacramento is establishing a Neurohospitalist team. This unique role offers the chance to pioneer as the inaugural Neurohospitalist, participate in the inception of a new department, play a key role in shaping future recruitment, and potentially contribute to the establishment of a fellowship program.


Position Highlights:

  • Exceptional potential for leadership advancement and professional development, prior leadership experience is not required
  • Work in 24-hour shifts, following a balanced schedule of 7 days on and 7 days off for 20 weeks annually.
  • Manage a patient load ranging from 5 to 15 individuals each day in a dedicated 10-bed ICU.
  • Actively engage in research and have the chance to mentor medical students, residents, and fellows.
  • This position is accessible to candidates at all levels, whether Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor, with the opportunity to rapidly progress to the next academic rank.
  • Guaranteed base salary based on rank + bonus programs
