Academic Epileptologist in Texas Major Metro
Practice Information
- Outpatient Clinic and EEG Coverage - 4.5 (clinic + EEG) + 0.5 administrative time
- 2 days of patient visits, ~2 days of EEG interpretation
- EEG studies performed on-site, with flexibility to interpret remotely
- 2 days of patient visits, ~2 days of EEG interpretation
Call Rotation
- Each epileptologist takes 1 week of call every 4–6 weeks
- Responsibilities include EEG interpretation (remote-capable) and inpatient consult follow-up
- No call obligations during regular outpatient weeks
- Protected academic time based on candidate’s interests (up to 0.5–1 day per week possible)
Minimum Qualifications:
- MD or DO
- BC/ BE in Neurology
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Neurology Residency Program
- Texas Medical License, or be eligible for licensure in the state of Texas
