Job description
We are seeking a Board Certified Vascular Neurologist for a 13-week locum opportunity in Springfield, Oregon, beginning December 2026. This is a strictly 24-hour call coverage position, with the physician reporting onsite only when called in and completing follow-up rounding the following morning when necessary.
Assignment Details
- Start Date: December 7, 2026
- Initial Assignment: 13 weeks
- 1 position available
- Coverage needed per month: TBD
- Call-only assignment
Schedule
- Unrestricted 24-hour call
- 7:00 AM–7:00 AM
- Provider reports onsite only when called in
- Follow-up rounding the following morning as needed
- 4 hours gratis included with each 24-hour call shift
Practice Setting
- Inpatient hospital
- Vascular Neurology / Neuro Hospitalist coverage
- Adult and geriatric patients
- Level II Trauma setting
- Epic EMR
- Epic proficiency required
Patient Volume
- Volume varies based on consult and call activity
- Neuro Floor: 36 beds
- OHVI: 36 beds
- ICU: 36 beds
Clinical Responsibilities
- Neurology consultations
- Acute stroke consultations
- NeuroInterventional consultations
- NeuroInterventional procedures
- Inpatient rounding
- Respond onsite when called in
- Follow up and round on patients the following morning when necessary
- Collaborate with Hospitalists and other specialty teams
Support Staff
- Hospitalists
- Multiple specialty disciplines
- Collaborative inpatient care teams
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Board Certification in Neurology required
- Active Oregon medical license required
- Facility is not willing to license
- Minimum 2 years of experience required
- Epic proficiency required
- COVID-19 vaccination required with no exemptions
- Additional certification requirements: TBD
Case Log Requirements
- Documentation of surgical services performed during the previous 24 months required
- Case logs must demonstrate the scope and complexity of requested privileges
- Physicians who completed training within the previous year must provide a training log
