Job description
• Short-term locum tenens opportunity for a Pediatric Epilepsy Neurologist.
• On-site coverage required at a children's hospital in Charleston, South Carolina.
• Provider will cover a continuous 24-hour shift from Monday at 8:00 AM through the following Monday at 8:00 AM.
• Provider will evaluate patients in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
• Expected epilepsy monitoring volume is approximately 4–6 patients per week.
• Provider will interpret inpatient and outpatient EEGs.
• Approximately 8 inpatient EEGs and 10 outpatient EEGs are read per day.
• Provider will work on-site during the day and take call overnight.
• Flat 24-hour all-inclusive rate.
• Rate guidance available upon request.

Job Responsibilities
• Provide on-site daytime coverage.
• Provide overnight call coverage.
• Interpret inpatient EEG studies.
• Interpret outpatient EEG studies.
• Provide pediatric epilepsy consultation and management.
• Collaborate with the hospital's pediatric neurology and multidisciplinary teams.
• Complete required hospital modules and Epic personalization.
Qualifications
• South Carolina medical license must be in hand or scheduled to be issued.
• Ability to provide on-site coverage in Charleston, SC.
• Experience with pediatric epilepsy and EEG interpretation required.
• Must be available for the full 24-hour coverage period.
Working Hours
• Coverage period: Monday 8:00 AM – Monday 8:00 AM.
• 24-hour shifts.
• On-site during daytime hours.
• Overnight call coverage.
• Flat 24-hour all-inclusive rate.
