Job description
A healthcare facility is seeking an Interventional Pain / Neurology Physician for a 13-week assignment starting April 13, 2026. The provider will primarily work in an ambulatory clinic environment and may float to an OR space when needed. The role focuses on treating ambulatory patients and performing interventional pain procedures while working alongside onsite clinic staff, including a secretary and LPN.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform interventional pain procedures including:
o Epidural steroid injections (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
o Medial branch blocks (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
o Radiofrequency ablation (cervical, thoracic, lumbar)
o Nerve blocks (various areas)
o Trigger point injections
o Sacroiliac joint injections
o Spinal cord stimulator trials
o Genicular nerve blocks and RFA
o Intercostal nerve blocks
o Piriformis injections
• Provide office call coverage after hours and weekends as required
• Float between the ambulatory clinic and designated OR space when needed
• Document patient encounters using Epic EMR
Qualifications
• Fellowship in Interventional Pain Medicine
• Minimum 1–2 years of experience post fellowship
• Active New York State medical license in hand
• BLS certification required
• Epic experience required
• Updated work history with no gaps of 30+ days
• Physician statement required if any malpractice history exists
Working Hours
Office call only after hours and weekends
Typical lunch break: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
