Overview

This is a unique opportunity to join the faculty at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso. The Department of Neurology is seeking a Neurocritical Care Physician to join the outpatient clinic and affiliated teaching hospitals and help grow the service line. This is a great opportunity to earn income like a private practice with academic benefits.


Position Highlights

  • Nationally-recognized and award-winning University Medical Center
  • 12-15 beds in the Neurocritical Care unit
  • 1 week on/2 weeks off rotation (17.3 weeks per year)
  • Inpatient/Outpatient mix (majority inpatient)
  • Inpatient services: To include critically ill neurological patients and stroke consults
    • Avg. 10 inpatients + 5 new consults daily
    • Phone consults only in the evening
    • No outpatient clinic when on hospital consults
  • Outpatient services: Approximately 2 days/week in the clinic
  • See all neurological conditions
  • Supervising resident outpatient clinics and teaching programs
  • Teach and mentor residents and medical students, to include seminars or lectures
  • Participate in academic research and scholarly activities

Financial Package

  • Base Salary to be commensurate with MGMA's Academic 75th Percentile
