A hospital in the Henderson, North Carolina area needs a nephrologist right now for call coverage, covering a vacation through November 30. $2,000 for each 24-hour call day, with callbacks paid at $225 an hour. Temporary privileges are available, so you can start quickly. Travel and lodging are covered.

Job Responsibilities

Call-only nephrology coverage for a 99-bed hospital, 7am to 7am, with about 8 patients a day, rounding on both inpatient and outpatient patients, and admissions. Procedures include dialysis management (hemodialysis, CRRT, and peritoneal dialysis), post-renal transplant care, renal biopsy, and hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis catheter placement. Hospital privileges are required. Paragon EMR.

Qualifications

Board certified in nephrology with fellowship training. An active North Carolina license is required. Temporary privileges are available for a clean file.

Working Hours

24-hour call, 7am to 7am. Start as soon as possible and run through November 30, 2026. Take a single week or the full period.
