Nephrology Opportunity in Ashland, KY
A leading regional healthcare system serving eastern Kentucky and southern Ohio is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Nephrologist to join an established and collaborative nephrology team. This is a full-time employed opportunity offering a balanced mix of inpatient and outpatient care with strong support.
Practice Details
Full-time employed Nephrology position
Established team of 5 full-time physicians and 1 part-time physician
Support from 7 Advanced Practice Providers
Mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities
Rotating inpatient coverage as primary and secondary physician
Monday–Friday schedule with structured call rotation
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nephrology care including inpatient consults and outpatient management
Manage dialysis patients and oversee acute dialysis treatments
Treat fluid, electrolyte, and kidney disorders
Provide hypertension management and preventive care
Educate patients on pre-dialysis care and nutrition
Support & Resources
Strong APP support across inpatient and outpatient settings
Established dialysis and nephrology services
Collaborative team-based environment
Organized call and holiday coverage schedule

Requirements
MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology
Eligible for Kentucky medical licensure
