Job description Our client, a reputable healthcare provider committed to delivering exceptional patient-centered nephrology care, is hiring a Nephrologist. Join an established and growing practice dedicated to improving kidney health and patient outcomes. As a full-time, board-certified Nephrologist, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and management of kidney disorders in an ambulatory setting. This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver high-quality care while working within a supportive, infrastructure-driven environment that values clinical excellence.

Job Responsibilities

Provide detailed nephrology assessments, including diagnosis and management of kidney disease, failure, diabetic renal issues, and hypertension.
Obtain medical histories, perform physical examinations, and establish diagnoses.
Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic tests.
Develop and manage individualized treatment plans, including preventive and acute care.
Educate patients on their medical conditions, self-management strategies, and therapeutic regimens.
Counsel on wellness, disease prevention, and health maintenance.
Prescribe medications aligned with best clinical practices.
Document all evaluations, progress, and referrals accurately in the EMR.
Monitor patient outcomes and report findings.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory standards.
Lead and oversee office staff, including nurses and medical assistants.
Supervise medical students, physician extenders, and nursing interns.
Maintain quality benchmarks set by payors, health departments, and CMS.
Build a sustainable patient population to support practice growth.

Qualifications

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
Board Certification in Nephrology.
Active New York State medical license.
Postgraduate experience in an ambulatory clinical setting.
