Opportunity Overview
Swedish Organ Transplant & Liver Center in Seattle is seeking an experienced locum Transplant Nephrologist for ongoing call-only coverage, beginning ASAP. This role is ideal for a nephrologist with formal transplant training or significant experience managing kidney transplant patients.
Coverage consists of one week per month, providing inpatient consultative support for post-renal transplant patients and complex nephrology cases within a high-acuity transplant environment.

Call Coverage: Monday 8:00 AM – Monday 8:00 AM (7 consecutive days)

Otherwise, coverage will be limited to Inpatient call only

Clinical Responsibilities
-
Consults on post-kidney transplant patients

Nephrology support for liver transplant patients

Dialysis management and order writing

Management of immunosuppression (including phone consults from ERs, outside hospitals, and referring physicians)

Inpatient nephrology consultative care
Patient Volume: ~3–5 patients per shift

Required Skills & Experience

Management of dialysis patients

Post-renal transplant care

Renal biopsy- preferred
-
Strong comfort with transplant-related immunosuppression management
Requirements

Board Certified in Nephrology

License: Active Washington license or IMLC eligible

BLS: Required
-
Credentialing Timeline: ~30–90 days
