Nephrologist Opportunity
*Location: Knoxville, TN | Full-Time, permanent position*
Position Overview
Seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Nephrologist to join a busy, established practice. This opportunity offers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, covering a broad spectrum of renal services in a collaborative, high-functioning environment.
Position Highlights
* Call schedule: 1 out of 5 weekdays and every 5th weekend
* Coverage primarily at one hospital, with potential expansion to a second
* Inpatient hospitalist support 24/7 for admissions
* Practice includes AKI/CKD care, peritoneal and hemodialysis, CRRT, plasmapheresis, and pre/post kidney transplant follow-up
* Pathway to partnership and potential medical directorship
* Monthly travel allowance

* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Nephrology

A 468-bed tertiary care facility located in downtown Knoxville. The hospital features:
* 51 emergency room beds and 72 critical care beds (Cardiovascular ICU, Medical-Surgical ICU, Neuro-ICU)
* 17 surgery suites and 5 cath labs
* Specialized centers including a Heart Center, Pulmonary Hypertension Center of Excellence, and Patricia Neal Rehabilitation Hospital
* Certified by The Joint Commission and CARF, with multiple accreditations in stroke care, cardiology, bariatrics, orthopedics, and maternity services
