Board Eligible / Board Certified Neonatologist
A not-for-profit health system in Owensboro, Kentucky is seeking a fellowship-trained, Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Neonatologist to join an established hospital-employed team. The incoming physician will practice in a 20-bed Level III NICU alongside experienced Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners, with no outpatient responsibilities. This opportunity offers a strong multidisciplinary support structure, modern facilities, and an attractive compensation package.
Position Highlights
* Join an established team of 2 physicians and 4 Neonatal Nurse Practitioners
* 20-bed Level III NICU
* Approximately 2,200 hospital deliveries annually
* Experienced NNPs provide in-house night coverage
* No outpatient responsibilities
* Maternal-Fetal Medicine available on-site for prenatal patients
* Multidisciplinary NICU rounding
* Dedicated pharmacist, dietitian, perinatal psychiatric NP, and case management support
* Experienced nursing and clinical support staff
* Epic EMR
* Practice in a modern $350 million hospital facility
* Hospital-employed position within a not-for-profit health system
* Strong emphasis on collaborative, high-quality neonatal care

Qualifications
* MD or DO
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
* Neonatology fellowship training required

About the Practice
The Neonatology program provides comprehensive care for premature and critically ill newborns within a Level III NICU. Physicians are supported by experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners who provide in-house overnight coverage, helping create a sustainable physician practice structure.
The multidisciplinary model brings together Neonatology, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, pharmacy, nutrition, behavioral health, nursing, and case management resources to provide coordinated care for infants and their families.
