Locums | Neonatology | Lancaster, PA (PA license required)
Why This Role
Three physician openings
New Level II NICU
Full-time coverage through June 2027
Daily newborn rounding
APP backup call coverage
Assignment Details
ASAP start pending credentialing through June 30, 2027
Full-time scheduled clinical coverage plus beeper call
Daily rounding on all babies delivered
Backup call coverage for APPs; hours and rotation to be confirmed
Call response required within 15–30 minutes
Inpatient setting; new 3-bed Level II NICU
Up to 3 patients per shift; call encounters listed as 2–6
Support: 0–1 APP
No APP or resident/teaching supervision listed
EMR: Epic
Credentialing: approximately 90 days
Clinical Details
Required: Level II nursery/NICU care
Required: invasive and noninvasive ventilation, including inhaled nitric oxide
Required: chest tube insertion and exchange transfusions
Required: hemodialysis catheter placement
Required: management of acute volume/BP issues; central, arterial, and pulmonary artery catheter placement
Required: lumbar puncture, paracentesis, and thoracentesis
Required: circumcision
Required: attendance at all C-sections, including high-risk C-sections
Preferred: Level III NICU experience
ECMO not required
Requirements
Board certification in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine required
Active Pennsylvania medical license required
Current BLS and PALS
Ability to perform all required neonatal procedures
