Maternal-Fetal Medicine Physician (MFM)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide consultations and management recommendations for high-risk pregnancies.

• Interpret detailed obstetric ultrasounds and prenatal diagnostic studies.

• Evaluate maternal medical conditions and fetal abnormalities.

• Develop individualized care plans and coordinate with referring OB/GYN providers.

• Provide preconception counseling and prenatal risk assessments.

• Collaborate with nurse practitioners, sonographers, and multidisciplinary clinical teams.

• Conduct telemedicine consultations when appropriate.

• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and participate in rotating weekend call coverage.

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO degree.

• Completion of an accredited OB/GYN residency and Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship.

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Maternal-Fetal Medicine.

• Current Texas medical license or eligibility to obtain one.

• DEA registration.

• Strong skills in obstetric ultrasound interpretation and high-risk pregnancy management.

• Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and collaboration skills.
