Neonatologist | Richmond, VA | 40-Bed Level III NICU | Single-Family Room Model | No Newborn Nursery

Med Ninjas is recruiting a board-certified or board-eligible Neonatologist for Richmond's largest delivery center, featuring a 40-bed Level III NICU with 24/7 in-house coverage in a state-of-the-art single-family room environment. There is no requirement to cover the newborn nursery.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional neonatal intensive care in a 40-bed Level III NICU

• Collaborate with a dedicated group of neonatologists providing continuous 24/7 in-house coverage

• Utilize advanced therapies including HFOV, HFJV, inhaled nitric oxide, and therapeutic hypothermia

• Work alongside on-site pediatric surgery and cardiology specialists

• Coordinate with a nurse-led neonatal transport team for transfers and emergencies

• Deliver care in a single-family room NICU model prioritizing family-centered care

• Focus exclusively on NICU patients with no newborn nursery coverage requirement

• Participate in quality improvement, safety initiatives, and collaborative clinical research

You Must Have

• Board eligibility within five years of eligibility, or board certification, in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine

• Board certification in Pediatrics

• Virginia medical license, or willingness to obtain

• Clean malpractice and license history, highly preferred

• NPDB self-query pulled within the last 30 days

• This role does not accept locums or visa candidates
