Practice Highlights

• Provide clinical care in a 60-bed Level IIIB NICU with approximately 625 annual admissions
• Oversee clinical operations and support high-quality provider performance
• Lead and implement quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
• Develop and advance neonatal clinical programs and services
• Collaborate with hospital leadership and academic partners
• Teach and mentor:
  • Medical students
  • Pediatric residents
  • Family medicine residents
• Participate in Grand Rounds, simulation Boot Camps, and educational programming
• Mentor residents on quality improvement and research projects
• Support scholarly and academic initiatives in partnership with the medical school
• Work alongside multidisciplinary pediatric subspecialists, including maternal-fetal medicine and pediatric surgery
• Utilize advanced neonatal therapies including high-frequency ventilation and nitric oxide therapy

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board Certified in Neonatology — Board Eligible candidates are not being considered
• Current Virginia medical license or willingness to obtain
• Demonstrated leadership experience in a NICU or clinical program development
• Previous Neonatology experience required
