Daytime NICU Coverage: 8:30 AM-4:30 PM
Overnight In-House Call: 4:30 PM-8:30 AM

Level III NICU Care
Approximately 1-3 Admissions While On Call
Full Range of Level III NICU Patients
Prematurity and Extremely Low Birth Weight Infants
Gestational Age 22+ Weeks
Pediatric General Surgery Cases
Clinical Responsibilities
Provide 24-Hour In-House Neonatology Coverage
Perform Daily NICU Rounds
Provide Ongoing Care and Management of NICU Patients
Provide Delivery Room Coverage
Provide Prenatal Consultations as Needed
Support Neonatal Transport Services
Manage Premature and Extremely Low Birth Weight Infants
Provide High-Frequency Ventilation Including HFOV and HFJV
Provide Therapeutic Hypothermia
Provide Routine and Advanced NICU Care
Required Procedures / Skills
Endotracheal Intubation
Umbilical Line Placement
Chest Tube Placement
Neonatal Resuscitation
Routine NICU Procedures
High-Frequency Oscillatory Ventilation (HFOV)
High-Frequency Jet Ventilation (HFJV)

Daytime Coverage Includes Neonatologists and Neonatal APPs
Harrisburg Overnight Coverage Is Shared Between 2 NICU Providers
