## Neonatologist Opening | Kansas City, MO Located in Kansas City, Missouri Full-Time, Permanent ## Practice Overview * Full-time Neonatologist opportunity serving a highly specialized regional neonatal program in Kansas City, Missouri * Provide in-house coverage at a 49-bed Level IIIB NICU * Care for approximately 450 NICU admissions annually with an average daily census of 30 patients * Manage critically ill neonates using advanced therapies, including: * Inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) * High-frequency oscillatory ventilation (HFOV) * High-frequency jet ventilation (HFJV) * Therapeutic hypothermia * Care for extremely low gestational age newborns (ELGAN), including infants born as early as 22 weeks gestation * Collaborate with an experienced team of Board-Certified Neonatologists and Neonatal Nurse Practitioners * Benefit from 24/7 in-house NNP coverage * Provide oversight and support for: * A 15-bed Level IIIA NICU * A growing Level II NICU * Well-baby nurseries * Participate in regional neonatal care coordination and delivery services * Out-of-house coverage supported by telehealth services and NNPs * Participate in quality improvement initiatives and opportunities to pursue clinical or academic interests * Continuous physician coverage, including weekends, as part of a comprehensive NICU program ## Compensation & Recruitment Package * Competitive compensation based on experience * Generous sign-on bonus * Relocation assistance available ## Job Qualifications * MD or DO * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine * Missouri medical license or eligibility * DEA registration required prior to start * Clean malpractice and licensure history strongly preferred * Visa support considered based on candidate qualifications ## Benefits * Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance * Life and disability insurance * 401(k) retirement plan * Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) * Health Savings Account (HSA) * Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) * Voluntary supplemental benefit plans * Employer-supported wellness and work-life balance programs ## Community Details Kansas City offers a vibrant blend of metropolitan amenities and Midwestern affordability.
