## Neonatologist Opening | Spartanburg, SC Located in Spartanburg, South Carolina Full-Time, Permanent ## Practice Overview * Full-time Neonatologist opportunity in Spartanburg, South Carolina * Join a collaborative team of 4 Neonatologists providing care in a 35-bed Level III NICU * Care for a high-acuity neonatal population with an average daily census of 25–29 infants * Support approximately 370–400 NICU admissions and 3,400–3,900 annual deliveries * Provide advanced neonatal care, including: * High-frequency ventilation * Therapeutic hypothermia * Participate in well-baby nursery rounding two weeks per month alongside the Family Medicine Residency Program * Collaborate with 24/7 Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) coverage for continuous patient care * Work closely with a multidisciplinary team including: * Pediatric Cardiology * Pediatric Surgery * Pediatric Ophthalmology * Maternal-Fetal Medicine * Practice within a regional referral center offering strong academic support and a collaborative clinical environment * Every-other-night call during assigned service weeks * Rotating weekend coverage as part of the NICU staffing schedule * Fellows completing Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine training and eligible for board certification are encouraged to apply * Visa sponsorship is not available ## Compensation & Recruitment Package * Competitive compensation based on experience * Sign-on bonus available * Relocation assistance available ## Job Qualifications * MD or DO * Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine * Completion of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship * South Carolina medical license or eligibility * DEA registration required prior to start * Clean malpractice and licensure history strongly preferred * Visa sponsorship is not available ## Benefits * Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance * Life and disability insurance * 401(k) retirement plan * Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) * Health Savings Account (HSA) * Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) * Voluntary supplemental benefit plans * Employer-paid benefits on select plans * Robust wellness and work-life balance programs ## Community Details Spartanburg offers an outstanding quality of life with a vibrant downtown, excellent schools, affordable housing, and easy access to the Blue Ridge Mountains.
