What You'll Do
- Provide neonatology coverage for a Level-III NICU with 10 beds and approximately 1,000 annual births
- Deliver care in a 20-bed newborn unit with daily support from Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs)
- Participate in a 3-physician staffing model ensuring collaborative clinical coverage
- Perform daily rounds in NICU and newborn settings
- Provide clinical oversight, stabilization, and management of critically ill and premature infants
- Support admissions, ongoing management, and family counseling
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff, NNPs, and multidisciplinary teams
- Take part in home-based call coverage rotation for NICU responsibilities
- Work within a flexible schedule supported by daytime extended APP/NNP coverage
What You Need
- Valid medical license in Georgia or eligible for licensure
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
