Practice Details NICU Environment
  • 92-bed Level IV NICU
  • Major regional referral center for Southeast Georgia
  • High-acuity neonatal care
  • State-of-the-art NICU facility
Clinical Responsibilities
  • Management of critically ill and premature newborns
  • Neonatal intensive care coverage
  • Family-centered neonatal care
  • Participation in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives
  • Resident supervision and teaching responsibilities
  • Collaborative multidisciplinary neonatal care
Team Structure
  • 9 Neonatologists
  • 8 experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioners (NNPs)
  • Pediatric subspecialty collaboration across multiple disciplines
Coverage & Scheduling
  • 24/7 in-house coverage model
  • Structured call schedule designed to support physician wellness
  • Organized rounding responsibilities with balanced workload distribution
