Neonatologist – Alexandria, LA | Permanent Full-Time Position at Leading Pediatric Facility

- Shift: 7-on/7-off schedule; home call after daily rounds
- Hours/Week: Full-time

- License/Certs: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics; BC/BE in Neonatology acceptable
- Experience: Preference for neonatal intensive care experience; residency within the local area required

- Provide expert neonatal care in a 34-bed Level III NICU with high acuity and complex cases
- Conduct daily rounds and develop tailored patient care plans
- Collaborate with a team of 2 Neonatologists and 4 NNPs
- Oversee and support 24/7 in-house NNP coverage
- Manage newborn nursery rounds and deliveries (approximately 1,500-2,000 annually)
- Support neonatal transports led by NNPs
- Uphold evidence-based protocols and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Work in a collegial, multidisciplinary environment focused on clinical excellence
- Engage in ongoing educational and clinical advancements
- Required: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics; valid medical license in Louisiana or eligible to obtain
- Preferred: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience; residency within the immediate local area
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); additional certifications as applicable
- Experience: Residency within local area preferred; neonatal ICU experience a plus
