Neonatologist – Level III NICU – Fredericksburg, VA

- Shift: Week-on/week-off, home call model
- Hours/week: Full-time (>40 hours)
- Employment Type: Permanent, employed
- Licenses/Certs: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neonatology
- Experience: Prior NICU leadership and neonatal care experience preferred

- Provide expert neonatal care in a Level III NICU and newborn nursery setting
- Attend and manage high-risk deliveries collaboratively with OB teams
- Deliver patient-centered care to approximately 9-11 neonates daily
- Mentor and support NICU nursing and respiratory therapy teams
- Develop and implement clinical protocols and quality improvement initiatives
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including neonatologists and nurse practitioners
- Participate in strategic growth efforts and patient safety programs
- Optional moonlighting opportunities across Virginia
- Required:
- Board Certified or Eligible in Neonatology
- Valid medical license for Virginia or qualified to obtain one
- Residency within the immediate local area (relocation support may be provided)
- Preferred:
- Leadership or supervisory experience in a NICU environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
