This 340-bed community facility features a state-of-the-art 40-bed Level III NICU with advanced technology and comprehensive full-service care. The facility specializes in heart and stroke care, high-risk obstetrics, orthopedics, and imaging, and is nationally recognized as a leader in minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgeries.
Opportunity:
Board Certified - Neonatology
Job Details:
• Per diem opportunity providing day and night shift coverage in a Level III NICU
• Work alongside a staffing model of 6 full-time neonatologists with excellent team support
• Day coverage requires 2 neonatologists (7:30 AM - 5:00 PM)
• Night coverage requires 1 in-house neonatologist (5:00 PM - 7:30 AM)
• Manage NICU average daily census of 14.3 patients with nursery ADC of 24.2
• Provide care for high-frequency ventilation patients (HFOV & HFJV)
• Administer inhaled nitric oxide treatments
• Perform therapeutic hypothermia with aEEG monitoring
• Care for pediatric surgical patients including PDA ligations
• Oversee nurse-driven transport team with approximately 15 transports per year
• Board certification in Neonatology with recent clinical experience required
• Must have been clinically active within the past year
• Minimum 6 months of clinical experience in neonatology required
• Active Virginia medical license required
• Malpractice insurance with tail coverage provided
• No ECMO or cardiac surgery procedures (except PDA ligations)

Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
